Yes. Definitely hydrate before class. Especially during the summer, the studio can get warm and it is your responsibility to fuel your body properly before and after class. Try not to eat a full meal at least three hours before class, but we do recommend eating a little something before class to fuel your body. Every body is different, so pay attention to yours!

All classes at The Movement offer modifications and low-impact options. Some options for classes that would be great for first time Movers would be Sculpt Yoga & Pilates with Lior, Power Pilates with Izzi, and Pilates & Sculpt Barre with Dafna. Overall though, you have the option of moving at whatever pace you like in any class and should feel absolutely no pressure to keep up with anyone but yourself :)

Just take it slow, go at your own pace, and take breaks as needed. We recommend you coming 10 minutes early to class, to give you time to order your belongings, take off your shoes and stretch as needed. We also encourage you to let the instructor know that it’s your first time. They’ll happily give you added guidance and assistance during class to ensure you’re practicing safely.
